Allahulaa ilahaaillahuwal hayyul qoyyuum, laa ta khudzuhu sinatuwwalaanauum, lahu maa fissamaawaati wamaa fil ard, man dzalladzii yasy fa'u 'indahu illaa bi idznih, ya'lamumaa bayna aydiihim wamaa khulfahum, walaa yuhiithuuna bisyai immin 'ilmihi illa bimaasyaa, wa si'a kursiyyuhussamaawaati wal ard, walaa yauudhuhu hifdzhuhuma wahuwal 'aliyyul 'adzhiim
Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great

RECITATION

Qur'an recitation — attached only where the doa is a complete ayah.

Explanation

Translated from Ustadz Firanda Andirja's Indonesian commentary (Bekal Islam). Quoted verses, hadith and duas keep their Arabic; where the commentary gave its own Indonesian rendering of them, that rendering is not translated and is marked [translation not shown].

Ayat Al-Kursi, as the Prophet said, is the greatest verse in the Qur'an (Narrated by Muslim, no. 810), because the topic of this verse is devoted to tawhid, and it covers all three kinds of tawhid: ar-Rububiyyah, al-Uluhiyyah, and al-Asmaa' wa as-Shifaat. That is why there is much evidence encouraging us to recite Ayat Al-Kursi repeatedly: in the morning, in the evening, after the five daily prayers, and when about to sleep.

(23) Diriwayatkan dari dua sahabat : 1.Abu Huroiroh : HR An-Nasai di As-Sunan Al-Kubro no 7963 dan Amalul Yaum wal Lailah no 958 dan dishahihkan oleh Al-Albani dalam As-Shahihah 7/480 no 3162, tentang kisah Syaitan yang ditangkap oleh Abu Huroiroh tatkala mencuri harta sedekah.
