Translated from Ustadz Firanda Andirja's Indonesian commentary (Bekal Islam). Quoted verses, hadith and duas keep their Arabic; where the commentary gave its own Indonesian rendering of them, that rendering is not translated and is marked [translation not shown].
(عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ … etc.) means that Allah deserves to be glorified to that number; it does not mean that a servant praises Allah that number of times, because a servant's deeds and actions are very limited. (Majmuu' Al-Fataawaa 33/12). What the number means is that Allah deserves to be glorified without limit. For it is (عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ), while the number of creatures that exist, together with those Allah will yet create, has no end. Likewise (رِضَا نَفْسِهِ), while Allah's attribute of being pleased has no limit. If His bounty, His blessings, His reward and His goodness are without limit, and all of these are fruits of His attribute of being pleased, then what of the attribute of being pleased itself?
(زِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ) and the 'Arsh is the heaviest of Allah's creatures; that is, if there were anything heavier than the 'Arsh, that is what would weigh the tasbih. (مِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ) and we know that Allah's words have no end; likewise, if there were ink used to write Allah's words, it too would surely have no end.
